Chandigarh, kulbir kalsi: Huge excitement was seen amongst more than 3500 students who appeared today in the first stage of Aakash National Talent Hunt Exam-2011(ANTHE-2011) organized by Aakash Institute/ Aakash IIT-JEE, a premier institute in the field of Medical and Engineering preparatory coaching. Students from tricity appeared in ANTHE-2011 held today at Aakash Institute Campus in Sector 34, Chandigarh and Bhawan Vidyalaya, Sector 15, Panchkula. The objective of conducting this examination was to recognize the talent of brilliant students and to nurture the talent by providing them free coaching as a reward.
This examination is being conducting pan India in which over 46,000 students are appearing in 115 test centres. The result of the prelim examination would be declared on December 10, 2011
According to Dr. Yash Pal , Academic Head (Chandigarh Centre), Aakash Educational Services Limited, ( AESL), “3200 students will be short listed from the first stage and further 800 students will be finally selected for scholarship. All selected candidates will be given scholarship worth Rs.14 crore at all India level. It is the maximum amount of scholarship given to students among any national level talent hunt exam in India.”
Parents were addressed by JC Chaudhary, MD, AESL through electronic broadcast. Many parents were seen enquiring about the courses available for their wards.
