Chandigarh, kulbir kalsi. The 57th National School Games 2011-12 got
underway with a flying start in the Sunny weather today. The games to
be played in the discipline of Cricket, Handball, Dodgeball, Fencing
and Chai-Kwang-Do were declared open by Sh.K.K. Sharma, Adviser to
Administrator, UT Chandigarh. The SGFI (School Games Federation of
India) flag was hoisted by Sh. Sharma with release of Kite symbolic of
the commencement of the games. A lively bhangra performance was given
by students of GMSSS Sector-16. Sh. Sharma welcomed the teams from 24
states, 3 U.T�s and three units of SGFI, the observer and technical
observer SGFI, Sh. Peter Reddy and Sh. K.S. Murti.
